How Original Content Rewards works
- Since 8 September 2026, X pays creators through Original Content Rewards, replacing Creator Revenue Sharing.
- Requirements: Premium/Premium+ subscription, 500 verified followers, and 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified accounts in the last 90 days.
- Only qualified impressions count: views by Premium users, in the Home Timeline, on your original posts (not replies), with at least half the post visible.
- Paid every two weeks: a period opens on Wednesday, closes on Tuesday (US time), and is paid on the Friday after (e.g. 23 Sep–6 Oct was paid on 9 Oct). Minimum payout $30.
- X doesn't publish its rate and it changes every period — one account earned about $1,220 per 1M verified views in its first period and about $199 in the next. That's why the estimate uses your own history.
- Estimate = this period's verified views (projected to close) × the per-1M rates from your past payouts.
FAQ
How accurate is this estimate?
It's a range based on your own past rates. The more periods you fill in, the better — but X's rate can change a lot between periods, so treat it as a guide, not a promise.
Why are my analytics impressions higher than the qualified ones?
Analytics count every viewer on every surface. Rewards only count Premium viewers in the Home Timeline on original posts, so qualified impressions are usually a small part of the total.
Do replies earn money?
No. Replies are excluded from Original Content Rewards, and reposting other people's content doesn't earn either.
When does a period close and when is it paid?
Every other Tuesday night, US time (Wednesday afternoon in Western Indonesia). The next period starts on Wednesday, and the closed period is paid on Friday.
